Genesis of Herbavate

SRISTI (Society for Research and Initiatives for Sustainable Technologies and Institutions), headed by Prof. Anil Gupta, Padmashree recepient and a senior faculty of IIM - Ahmedabad carried out extensive research in rural India and documented the wealth of Indian traditional medicinal herbs to cure chronic ailments through grassroot Innovators.

A time tested herbal remedy developed by grassroot innovators for Eczema was offered by SRISTI to M/s. Troikaa for commercialization. And "Herbavate Cream" a product of traditional knowledge and modern science was born.

 

Description

HERBAVATE, a novel formulation with a traditional background has been developed in an attempt to balance the side effects of the conventional treatments without compromising with the therapeutic efficacy.

Ayurveda is 5000 years old Indian Medical Science, which predominantly comprises herbal remedies.

1Calotropis gigantea (Aak) . :4gm,
. Curcuma longa (Haldi) . :0.5gm,
. Pongamia glabra (Karanja) . :0.1gm,
. Solanum xanthocarpum (Kantakari) . :0.2gm,
. Camphor (Kapoor) . :2% w/w,
. Apricot oil . :0.04ml,

Medicinal herbs in Herbavate Cream are purified, Standardised and analysed by modern analytical method - Thin layer chromatography (TLC) for content & purity to ensure consistant quality batch after batch.

TLC (Thin Layer Chromotography)

TLC identifies therapeutically active marker compounds Viz. Alpha turmerone, beta-amyrin, glabrachromene - 1 etc. present in Herbavate. Activity of all ingredients assured throughout the shelf life by validating through stability studies, conducted as per WHO protocol.
